Help for the lullaby challenged

During my pregnancy I became a student…of motherhood. I read and read and read. Books. Websites. Blogs. You name it. Anything and everything related to birthing and raising a healthy, happy, well-adjusted child. One thing I neglected to study, however, were lullabies and childrens’ songs. I assumed I knew them all, you see. After all, I had been a child not THAT long ago (OK…nearly 4 decades ago, but SEEMS not that long ago) and I can still hear the tunes in my head. Or so I thought.

Turns out my “set list”, is painfully short. In fact, I quickly realized that I don’t know more than half a verse of ANY lullaby. It conjured up a bad karaoke memory where I selected Tiffany’s “I Think We’re Alone Now” assuming I knew it, went up to the stage, and realized I only knew the chorus…to the crowds (booing) dismay. (My apologies for the online therapy session.)

Given my history, you can image my elation at finding Lullaby Baby. Filled with 50 classic songs, this songbook features an on-board sound module that lets parents learn each song as they sing along with the melody. The unique sound component makes for a special, portable package—perfect for sitting by the crib, and also works wonderfully on the road—putting little ones to rest anywhere, anytime.
