Baby Banana Brush Teether

So, admittedly, I haven’t been the best mom and making sure that I’ve been massaging my babies gums and brushing her partially exposed two bottom teeth.  And I am certain that it is going to be a battle to brush them given that she bats my hand away every time I try to put my finger in to check out her teeth.  That being said, after I stopped chuckling upon seeing the Baby Banana Brush ®, I thought it might be a good way to get her used to the feeling of a brush in her mouth.  She LOVES it.  I give it to her after each meal, in hopes that she will associate brushing with post mealtime and she goes to town on it, I then have a much easier time making sure that those toofers are wiped down. read more »

The "Oi!" bib by Mini Maniacs

All of a sudden I am really into bibs. We received a bunch of bibs prior to the birth of our daughter and, to be frank, I had no use for them…until recently. The introduction of solid foods has caused me to have new appreciation for a few “mom comments” I have heard over the years. I now “get” why moms do so much laundry. I also now understand why bibs are an important part of the baby-rearing arsenal. Amazing the mess a few tablespoons of pureed plums can make! And…even though we own a STACK of bibs, I now understand that you can really, truly never have enough.

Recently I fell in love with these edgy bibs from Mini Maniacs. They are perfect for kiddos (like mine) who make a mess and a whole lot of noise. Mini Maniacs touts that “these high-quality smocks are strong enough for the mosh pit and the high chair”. Now that’s my kind of bib!

It’s funny the things that bother you as a mother. I have no problem letting our Bernese Mountain Dog lick our daughter from head to toe…but her sitting in a restaurant high chair unprophylaxed somehow grosses me out. I had a few minutes before my hair appointment (suddenly, my gray hair seems to make an appearance a lot quicker) so I stopped by one of my favorite Maternity/Baby stores – 2 Chix in Santa Monica.  This was one of my fav spots for jeans when I was pregnant, but you are also sure to find something cute for your babe.  I spied such a fabulous onesie that I am contemplating buying one for every baby I know.  I love their private label baby onesie ‘PEACE, LOVE AND LOLLIPOPS’ – honestly, what more do you need? I just wish they had it in mama size!

Every now and again we come across a product that a smart mom or mommas created to make their lives easier, and the lives of their children more fun. The aacua by maamam is one such product. This bath product has many, many uses…it’s an apron, a towel, a swaddler for infants and a bathrobe for toddlers – all in one ($38 each). Don’t believe me?
