Katherine Scarf by Lillian Asterfield on Etsy

Every once in a while (okay, more than that) we find something that strikes us with originality, flair and fun.  The Katherine Scarf from Lillian Asterfield by Nicole Duponte is one such item.  We can see this with so many different signature outfits.  Me?  I’ll be wearing it to dress up my Saturday casual wear.

Two neckties are sewn together and ruffled to make this statement piece.  A snap hidden in the knot makes it easy to put on but sophisticated in its look.

You can buy this piece here or check out her other designs here.

DandyCraft Handmade Ceramic Jewelry

Sometimes I spend so much time thinking about what I’m going to gift others this holiday season that I am stumped when someone asks me what is on my list. ‘Me?’, I think.  ‘I don’t really need anything.’ And while that might be true, there are certainly plenty of things that I’d like to have.  And with that, I thought I’d help you out by passing along one of my favorite gifts from my sweetie. read more »

When I was a kid, I used to get my skate on every Saturday at Loveland Castle Skateland.  Needless to say I have a soft spot for all things rollerskate.  So, when I stumbled upon these beauties by Wren Willow on Etsy – I was psyched!  read more »

It’s “Hammer Time” girls and boys! I am totally in love with the harem pant silhouette and now the whole family can get in on the drop-crotch fun (well, maybe not Dad – but certainly Mom and the Kiddos!). Me, I love the fact that I can throw on a pair of these easy, cozy pants and still exude style. I also love how freakin’ adorable they look on my daughter! Here are some of our faves…click on the photos below to purchase.

A is for Adobo…B is for Burrito…C is for Ceviche.

I just returned from a Babes & Babies Shopping Event here in San Francisco where I found two important things. The first thing I found was that I really need to remember to wear breast pads if I am going to spend the afternoon in a room full of babies (can you say very wet shirt AND jacket?!?). The second thing I found was a super cool product:  ABCs of Cuisine t-shirts by Lala Lu (a local Mommy-owned company). These 100% Certified Organic Cotton baby t-shirts feature fabulous designs with culturally inclusive designs for culturally rich lifesytles. Love the message. Love, love, love the t-shirts. I bought my little Gioia the “G is for Gyoza” t-shirt pictured below and can’t wait for her to grow into it.

To purchase an ABCs of Cuisine t-shirt, click here.

Lala Lu is created by Luz who has applied her same signature designs onto baby t-shirts, which reflect the multi cultural and earth conscious residents of the Bay Area.. Luz is proud to call the Bay Area home, a place she considers to be the epicenter of cultural blending and multi cultural pride where people are free to BE.

Gold small ID tag necklace from Posh Mommy Jewelry

Silver necklace from Addie Rose Jewelry

Jewelry is a form of personal adornment…and what could be more personal than jewelry adorned with the names of your little ones.

Jewelry is my weakness. Some people collect shoes. Me  - I love jewelry. From my beloved Stephen Kretchmer engagement ring (thanks, honey!) to cheap (but super-cute) leather cuffs from a local fair trade shop, my “collection” runs the gamut. But my absolute favorite – and now staple – pieces are two necklaces that bear the name of my infant. There’s just something about wearing her name close to my heart that…well…you understand…

After my daughter was born I treated myself to my own “pushing present”. read more »
