A dress fit for a photo on Santa’s knee

Posted in Style {For Infants}, Style {For Toddler to Teen} on November 23rd, 2010 by LuxeMomDaniela – Be the first to comment

It’s official. The holiday season has officially (and pre-maturely!) arrived. Our local malls are decorated with Christmas trees and the San Francisco streetlights are starting to grow festive bows. The tree-lightings are scheduled and, soon enough, Santa and his elves will be setting up shop to listen to Christmas wishes and pose for photos with kiddos everywhere. And I am SO VERY EXCITED!

It will be Gioia’s first Christmas…and her first photo with Santa Claus. With all the excitement comes one big question. What will she wear for the occasion? As usual, a trip to Etsy provided a quick (and very cute) answer to this question.

I am head over heals for this custom monogrammed Christmas 2 piece A-line top and Rhumba Ruffle Pants set (that includes a monogrammed hairbow). Handmade by PetiteBellesandBeaus, this adorable ensemble has removable coordinating bows at the shoulders, features a fully-lined top, pants with a non-roll elastic waist for comfort and is available in sizes 6 months to 6 years.  You can choose from a single initial, name or monogram in your choice of thread color. Priced at $60 (not including shipping and handling) this outfit is sure to be a holiday hit.

Turkey Lurkey Hat by Duncan Creative on Etsy

With Thanksgiving just around the corner, my mind immediately enters a state of contentment.  Just thinking about the feast we are about to inhale (and inhale it usually is) makes me smile and giggle.  I LOVE Thanksgiving.  It is hands down my favorite American holiday.  It is the only one that isn’t surrounded by massive consumer fanfare.  And well, it is always a 4 day weekend – and that simply rocks.  This year we will be heading to a friends house for our overindulgence of triptophan, sweet potatoes and pie – lots of pie.  That being said, my next thought concerns what adorable outfit should I dress Lexi in.  It seems I’m far more interested in her wardrobe than mine these days.     read more »

Custom Silhouette by Pretty Faces on Etsy

When I was a young girl, my family lived in Paris.  One of my favorite mementos from that time is a pair of silhouettes of my mother and I from a visit to Montmartre.  I display them to this day and it is often becomes a  conversation piece.  read more »
